International Placements 2026: India or South Africa?

Six weeks in New Delhi or four weeks in Cape Town: this autumn, KBT students can choose between India and South Africa for their international placement.

This autumn, KBT Vocational College offers students the opportunity to complete an international placement in either New Delhi, India, or Cape Town, South Africa.

In India, students can spend six weeks in New Delhi, with placement activities five days a week in cooperation with Shiksha Bridge EDU India and local organisations such as SPYM. The programme gives insight into social work, peer support, marginalisation, rehabilitation and social entrepreneurship.

In South Africa, students can spend four weeks in Cape Town through Good Hope Volunteers, with placement activities three days a week in local organisations and community projects.

Students continue KBT teaching digitally while abroad, and the programmes are adapted as far as possible to combine study and placement.

For some students, it may even be possible to experience both countries during the same academic year.

International placement offers more than professional experience. It provides new perspectives, cultural understanding, international contacts and experiences that can be valuable long after the placement is completed.
