Social Enterprise
Cape Town based organisation working with homeless people and vulnerable groups. Hosts KBT students on practice placements in social enterprises and inclusion initiatives.

U-turn Homeless Ministries
Social Enterprise
Cape Town organisation that has spent over 25 years building a skills-based pathway out of homelessness, designed by occupational therapists, social workers, counsellors and life coaches. U-turn combines shelter, rehabilitation, work readiness and paid work in its own charity shops and social enterprises, and six months after graduation the large majority of participants remain sober, employed and housed.

TCB, Taking Care of Business
Social Enterprise
Award-winning Cape Town social enterprise, founded in 2010 as The Clothing Bank. TCB turns surplus retail goods that would otherwise become waste into opportunity: unemployed women are trained to repair, sort and resell donated stock, with mentoring and coaching to start their own small businesses. Its circular model, Collect, Sort, Distribute, Repair, Develop, Sustain, spans Resell, Repair, Remake and GROW Educare Centres, reducing waste while building livelihoods.

NGO
Community-based organisation in Cape Town using surfing, mentorship and education to support youth in coastal townships. One of the services where KBT peer-worker students carried out their practice during the 2026 exchange.

SPYM, Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses
NGO
Indian organisation working with people in vulnerable life situations, with expertise in addiction treatment, mental health, rehabilitation and social reintegration. Provides shelter and support for close to 6,000 homeless people every day.

Shiksha Bridge EDU India
Social Enterprise
KBT's coordinating partner for placements and project-based learning in India. Shiksha Bridge arranges supervised placements for groups of 10 to 15 students across eight fields of practice, from peer support and social entrepreneurship to mental health, homelessness and community development. Host organisations are visited and approved in advance, each group has a named local mentor, and programmes run from four weeks to three months. The New Delhi office coordinates communication and local follow-up throughout the stay.

Local Indian partner working with rural community development, education and social innovation. Students can take part in municipal development planning and local initiatives.
Urban-Rural Bridge
Social Enterprise
Chinese social entrepreneurship initiative that strengthens connections between urban and rural areas through sustainable agriculture, local cooperatives, ecological products, education and ecotourism. Represented by Fred Yang, it is an interesting case for KBT students in community development, entrepreneurship and sustainability.

Vocational College
Network of Nordic and Baltic educational institutions collaborating on training peer support workers, and on free, shared educational material.
Erasmus+ Consortium Partners
University
Universities, colleges and organisations across the European Union cooperating with KBT in Erasmus+ projects such as SEKEHE, POMEIL and KIPS Youth.
Innovation Circle Network
NGO
A non-profit member organisation that supports smaller and medium sized towns and rural regions across the Nordics, the Baltic Sea and Europe. It grew out of transnational project cooperation and has since run more than twenty projects funded through Interreg, Erasmus+, EEA and Norway Grants, ESPON, Nordic programmes and national schemes.
