POMEIL: entrepreneurship as a route into the European labour market
2025

The POMEIL project maps the barriers immigrants and refugees meet when entering the labour market, with a particular focus on Ukrainian refugees.
POMEIL — Promotion of Migrant Entrepreneurship and Integration in the European Labour Market — identifies the challenges immigrants and refugees face in accessing the labour market of their host countries, and thereby their wider socioeconomic integration.
The project works to upskill and reskill participants by strengthening entrepreneurial and cross-cultural competence. Ukrainian refugees are a particular focus group.
Findings from the first project phase were presented in an open webinar, together with the plans for the following year and a half of work.
