Visit from Sweden: cooperating on training for peer support workers

NSPH (Nationell Samverkan för psykisk hälsa) has, like KBT Vocational College, developed a training model for peer support workers.

During the visit both sides got to know how training and education of peer support workers is organised in the two countries. Norway has several types of courses and study programmes, while in Sweden NSPH currently delivers all such training.

The visit was one of the starting points for a Nordic and Baltic network, where KBT Vocational College, NSPH and several other organisations cooperate on developing training opportunities for peer support workers in more countries.
