Accredited vocational education in peer support and social entrepreneurship

KBT was accredited as a vocational college by NOKUT in autumn 2019, and today offers study programmes in peer support work and social entrepreneurship worth 60 study credits.

During autumn 2019, KBT — the Competence Center for Lived Experience and Service Development — was accredited to deliver vocational school education. The accreditation comes from NOKUT, the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.

The programmes lead to a certificate of 60 study credits and combine theory with a substantial practice component.

Two study programmes form the core of the college: education for peer support workers and education in social entrepreneurship. Both connect classroom learning, research and practice, and both are open to international cooperation through the International Office.
